The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking applicants for 8 scheduled vacancies on Youth Commission. The Youth Commission serves as City ambassadors, representing the matters concerning the City’s youth.

Attend an upcoming Youth Commission Meeting
Students in 7th - 12th grade and the public are invited to attend regular Youth Commission Meetings. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month between September - May. Learn more here.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT - ART CONTEST WINNERS
The City of Thousand Oaks Youth Commission launched the Young Artist Contest last year in partnership with the annual Youth Leadership Summit to create meaningful opportunities for young people to share their voices through creative expression. Now in its second year, the 2026 Young Artist Contest invited teens to submit artwork in a variety of mediums inspired by this year’s summit theme: “Stronger as One.” Below are the winners by category.
